Legal information

Terms &
Conditions.

The general conditions for enquiries, bookings and clipping services.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to clipping and related grooming services supplied by Clipique. Any specific written quotation or booking confirmation forms part of the agreement and takes priority if it expressly differs from these general terms.

2. Enquiries and bookings

An enquiry does not create a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only after the scope of work, location, timing and applicable price have been agreed. Information about the horses and practical circumstances must be complete and accurate.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are communicated before confirmation and may depend on the number of horses, type of clip, coat condition, location, travel and additional work. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due according to the quotation or invoice supplied for the booking.

4. Preparation and working conditions

Horses must be clean, completely dry, ready at the agreed time and presented in a safe, well-lit working area with suitable access to electricity. Brushes and basic cleaning materials should be available. Someone familiar with each horse must be available to assist when reasonably required.

5. Horse welfare and safety

Known sensitivities, difficult behaviour, medical concerns or sedation requirements must be disclosed before the appointment. I may pause, adapt or refuse work where continuing would create an unreasonable risk to a horse, handler or groomer. Sedation may only be arranged and administered under appropriate veterinary responsibility.

6. Changes and cancellation

Please communicate changes or cancellations as early as possible. Where late cancellation, unavailable horses, unsuitable coat condition or unsafe working circumstances prevent the agreed service, reasonable travel, time or cancellation costs communicated in advance may apply.

7. Results and responsibility

Every service is performed with professional care. The final appearance can nevertheless be influenced by coat condition, previous clipping, skin sensitivity, horse behaviour and aftercare. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under Belgian law.

8. Photographs

Photographs or videos that identify a client, stable or horse will only be used for portfolio, website or social-media purposes with appropriate permission. Permission may be withdrawn for future use by contacting Clipique.

9. Privacy, law and contact

Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Belgian law applies, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply. Questions can be sent to info@clipique.be.
