Here’s what you need to know.

From preparation to planning: find answers to common questions about horse clipping with Clipique in the Antwerp region and, by arrangement, further afield.

How much does it cost to have my horse clipped?

View the horse and pony clipping prices. For professional yards and several horses at the same location, I offer a bespoke quote. Share your location, number of horses and preferences for a no-obligation quote.

How can I arrange horse clipping with Clipique?

You can request an appointment using the contact form, WhatsApp (+32 478 15 33 58) or email (info@clipique.be). Include your location, the number of horses and your preferred dates. I will contact you personally to discuss the appointment. Your booking is confirmed once we have agreed on the details.

Which areas does Clipique cover?

Clipique visits yards in the Antwerp region. For several horses, appointments further afield can also be arranged. Is your yard outside the Antwerp region? Get in touch so we can discuss the options.

Can I book clipping for just one horse?

Yes, you can book Clipique for a single horse if your yard is within the Antwerp region. Both private horse owners and professional yards are welcome to enquire.

How should I prepare my horse for a clipping appointment?

Have your horse ready at the agreed time, clean and completely dry. Provide a safe, well-lit workspace with enough room and a nearby electrical outlet. Keep brushes and cleaning equipment within reach, and make sure someone is available to help if needed. See the practical information on preparing your horse for clipping for the full details.

Does my horse need to be washed before clipping?

Yes, please wash your horse thoroughly before the appointment and allow the coat to dry completely. A clean, dry coat helps me work efficiently and achieve a tidy finish. If no water is available to wash your horse beforehand, contact me in advance so we can discuss the options. A €15 surcharge, excluding VAT, applies when clipping an unwashed horse.

How long does it take to clip a horse?

Clipping takes approximately one hour. The exact time depends on the chosen clip, the coat and how calmly your horse stands during clipping. We will discuss your horse and your preferences beforehand so I can give you a more accurate estimate.

Which clipping styles does Clipique offer?

There are many options, and I adapt the clip to your preferences. When you enquire, we will discuss how you would like your horse clipped, including the head, legs and finishing details. Tell me what you have in mind.

How far in advance should I book a clipping appointment?

Check the availability calendar to find a suitable period, then get in touch to discuss your appointment. During the busy clipping season from October through February, I recommend booking ahead, especially for several horses.

What if my horse is nervous about being clipped?

Please let me know beforehand if your horse is sensitive or unsettled during clipping, or if previous clipping sessions were difficult. We will discuss what is needed to work calmly and safely, including whether you should consult your vet about sedation. Your vet will assess whether sedation is appropriate and administer it if needed.
